The Winery:
Shasta View is located very near Neveu on
Ager road with that unbelievable view across
the valley to Mount Shasta in the
distance. These two wineries,
northeast of the city of Yreka are the
furthest north in the state and seems an
unlikely place to find grapes. However, the
low mountain topography, very cold winters
and hot summers are not unlike parts of
France. The winery offers no tasting at the
winery, which is a shame, but you can find
the wines in local stores and restaurants.

The Vineyards:
These are vineyards with a view! The
label on their wine bottle says it all -
vines with this huge volcano in the
distance. The area is very cold in the
winter and can be quite hot in the
summer, not unlike parts of Burgundy.
