From the judicious use of cover crops, biological amendments, deficit irrigations and the timely application of plant protection materials, the company is on the forefront of farming in the Napa Valley.

Beginning of the growing season for Grape Vines is when the Grape Bud Flowers or Breaks. Overhead sprinklers and wind machines are utilized to limit frost damage of new shoots.
Just like it sounds, this is when the grape bud breaks and begins to bloom. This marks the beginning of the growing season.
Veraison is when the Grape Berries begin to develop their color.
We use cover crops for a variety of different reasons such as Erosion Control Measures, Vine Competion for Overvigorous Vines and Soil Enrichment.
